Trump won’t give up. He’s so desperate to stay in office to avoid prosecution in New York that after SCOTUS told him “Stop, it’s over!” he’s still going to try to influence Congress.
Sadly, his millions of followers are going right along with it. This weekend in Washington D.C., thousands of Trump minions jammed the streets, mostly mask-less, waving Trump flags and clashing with counter-protestors.
Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) stated on the Senate floor last week:
“You cannot, at the same time, love America and hate democracy,”
Yet, this is exactly what Trump and his followers are doing.
They claim to be “patriots,” but have fallen in love with an authoritarian.
They claim to be “patriots” but fawn over a nationalist.
They claim to “love” the Constitution, and the Bill Of Rights, yet support one who is actively, on a daily basis, subverting it to its core.
STOP THE STEAL they scream, when it is their hero who is attempting to do just that.
